Scones are in a league all their own.

Depending on which side of the pond you have tried, English scones are usually not sweetened whereas American scones (called biscuits) have a bit of sugar in them.  

 They can be cut into circles, squares or wedges. Either way they taste the same so it's just a personal preference.
